Roads and Intersection to a property

Roads, Intersection,cross street to a property

1) The yard should not be at a Y or a T intersection.

2) If a road ends in your house from the Northeastern corner it is considered very good.

3) Southern side road is not considered to be very good.

4) If your yard has roads on the Eastern and Northern sides it is also good.

5) If you are a business man a road on the Western or Southern side of your yard can also be good depending upon other factors.

6) A yard surrounded by three side roads on East, West and South is not considered good.

7) Southern side road is not considered to be very good.

8) Northern side road is good.

9) A road on the Western side is reasonable.

10) If there is only one road on the Eastern side of the yard it is good.

11) If roads are on the Northern and Western sides of your yard it is OK.

12) As already stated neither the ground nor the building should be higher in the Northeast. The ground should have a slope in the Northeast and the walls of the building should also be lower in the Northeast and the walls of the building should be lower in the Northeast than Southwest. If possible the walls in the Northeast should be thinner than walls of the Southwest.

13) If your yard is not towards any of the four directions and the road is also going straight you should plan your house not parallel to the road which it abounds but it should be located according to the magnetic South and North line to make it in full calibration with the four directions.

14) A road ending to the house is very bad. Never buy a lot in which the road comes in like a dagger provided it is not coming fro the Northeast direction.

1) If Northeastern corner of the yard is extended it is very good. It will give you name, fame and wealth. It is better if the angle here is less than 90 degrees. 2) Except in the Northeast, if your land is elongated towards any other side it is not good. 3) If Southeast corner is projecting towards East or South there may be disputes or losses. 4) Never buy a yard which is cut on the Northeast corner. alt 5) If Northeastern corner of the yard is extended it is very good. 4) Factory lots should always be rectangular or square. If is rectangular the ratio between length and width preferably should be 1:2.

1) A yard which is longer from East to West is known as Suryabhedi and a yard which is longer from the North to South is known as Chandrabhedi. Chadrabhedi yard is much better than Suryabhedi.

2) If your yard is wider at the at the front gate and narrower in the end then it is called Lion faced yard. It is not good. If your entrance is narrow and rear portion bigger then it is called Cow shaped yard. It is considered good.

3) Any yard which is squeezed in between two bigger yards is not good. It will bring poverty. Reject it.

4) If you have a river, canal,fountain, or tube well in the Northeastern side of your yard it is very good.

5) Reject any site if a hill is towards North or East of your yard.

6) The yard should not be in the neighborhood of any religious place, public places like marriage halls, hospitals, factories and burial or cremation grounds.

7) If you leave more space on the West side in your house the male members of the house will get badly affected.

Angles of a yard or building

1) In these days it is difficult to get a square or rectangular yard exactly fitting in all the directions of South, North, East and West. But even if it is angled by 15 to 20 degrees it is all right.

2) If your yard is not rectangular see that at least Southeast and Southwest corners have a 90 degree angle.

3) The Southwest corner should be exactly at a right angle. If it is not please correct the same. Southwest corner of your house should be should be heaviest and the walls higher and thicker and the floor a little higher.

4) If your yard is not rectangular see that at least Southeast and Southwest are a uniform shape.

Slope of the Yard

1) The slope of the land is very important in Vastu. If the land slopes towards East it will bring good luck, if the3 land slopes towards North it will bring in riches, if the land slopes towards the West, it will bring financial losses and if the slope is towards the South it can cause destruction and grief in the family. So, if you have a yard which tilts towards the West or South better fill in more earth in the same and make it slant towards the North, East or Northeast.

2) The South or West of the yard must be higher than North and East. If it is not, you should be able to make it so by filling and putting more earth on the same. If it is not possible you should not buy the yard.

3) The South or West of the yard must be higher than the North and East. If it is not, you should be able to make it so by filling and putting more soil on the same. If is not possible you should not buy the land.

4) As already stated neither the ground nor the building should be higher in the Northeast. The ground should have a slope in the walls of the building should also be lower in the Northeast than the Southwest. If possible the walls in the Northeast should be thinner than walls of the Southwest.

5) Any plot which has lower land in the North and Eastern side and big or small hills on the Western or Southern side or a very high building on the Western and Southern side is a very good yard.

6) The roof too should have a slope towards North or East or Northeast. Rain water should flow towards Northeast, North or East.

7) Main entrances should be in the Northeast, East or North. If it is not possible, care should be taken that it is not in Southeast or Southwest direction. Care should be taken that there should not be a pit, tubewell or a slop towards South or West or Southwest.

Yantra

Yantra is the Sanskrit word for "instrument" or "machine". The meaning is contextual.
